Ryō Mimasaka (美作 涼, Mimasaka Ryō), known as "Gorgon Shell" (石化の盾, lit. "petrifying shield"), is one of the four most powerful members of Behemoth besides their leader. She participates in the battle with Kogarasumaru, and is defeated by Onigiri. After the Takeuchi brothers declare their true intentions, she openly opposes them, and is almost lethally injured by Nike.

Appearance[]
Ryō is a tall, curvaceous woman with black hair, grey eyes, and large breasts. In the battle against Kogarasumaru, like her teammates, she wears a white t-shirt and black shorts, which she immediately discards in her fight against Onigiri. Her undergarment differ between the anime and the manga: in the anime, she wears a red strapless bra and matching panties, and in the manga, she only wears a thong, with the only thing covering up her breasts being a pair of heart-shaped pasties.

Synopsis[]
Ryō uses "Oshiroibori" (白粉彫り, literally meaning "White Powder Carving") tattoos, which are almost invisible to the naked eye, to hypnotize the opponent to the point that their metabolism slows down so much that it leads to paralysis. She is, however, defeated by Onigiri whose unorthodox style of riding on his head reverses the tattoo effects and makes him more powerful to the point where she submits to him instead. She is very close to Yasuyoshi Sano and may have romantic feelings for him, having known him from their school days, and works under him. She sacrifices herself to save Sano from being killed by Nike; though she is later revealed to be alive but on life-support and held hostage by Genesis in order to force Sano to work for them. Later, it is revealed that Simca saves Ryo.
Tricks and Abilities[]
Ryo is an A-Class Storm Rider of the Gaia Road. Although her actual riding abilities are unknown (due to the strategy she employed as a member of Behemoth), she states that she could have deflected the helicopter rotor thrown by Nike at Sano and Spitfire if she had not miscalculated.

Petrification Shield - Ryo strips down to her underwear and distracts a male opponent with an alluring dance; meanwhile, invisible tattoos all over her body hypnotize the target and eliminate their ability to move, essentially turning them "to stone".
Spiral Spin Wallride 999 Sidewinder - Ryo executes a spinning jump over her opponent's head using nearby walls. Once behind them, she uses her momentum to kick them in the crotch. According to Ryo, this trick guarantees victory against any male opponent who has falled into her Petrify Shield trick.
